No it was Karebear like.. the Carebears that were really popular back in the day.  hehe, Karen is a nice name and easy to pronounce like you said.  I like the name Stephanie too, it's sort of common here of course. Why was it a torture for your collegues?  My name would be easy I think lol  Its so simple!  Only 4 letters.  I am content with it.

Karenbear you mean? haha.. is she a BIG girl or just so CUTE :p i like 'Karen' so much that i changed my English name to it, for a year now. (Chunwen is my Chinese name which i will never change b.t.w. :D)

'Stephanie' was my previous English name, which is a 'torture' to my fellow Chinese colleagues (we call our english names at work usually..Italian-German company ya see.). anyway, Karen is more easier to pronounce :):)
