Thanks for re-uploading your previous comment! Before that my comment sounded a little out of place here!

Thanks for commenting! Yes, they may not be the most beautiful creatures ever to walk the earth, but don’t judge a book by its cover. They are an important part of their ecological system, feeding many fowl, fish, snakes and other predators and they feed on flies that otherwise would spread some dangerous diseases.

Re-upload 1: I posted the link “http://www.frogsaustralia.net.au/conservation/frog-declines.cfm” here for people who want to – and have the time to – help actively, i.e. by joining an organisation of which the task is to preserve these animals.
Re-upload 2: “http://amphibianrescue.org/tag/maersk/” and “http://www.endangeredspeciesinternational.org/donationuse.html” try to preserve amphibians that perhaps would go extinct without human help. It goes without saying that they give people the chance of getting involved in their projects.

This summer in Passau (Bavaria /Germany) many people complained that this year the frogs from a pond were unusually noisy. They demanded that these animals be “silenced”. In the end a court decided that about 100 frogs be captured and removed to another pond.
At least that’s what “Tierschutz Euskirchen” says.

“Tierschutz Euskirchen” says that the German Bundestag now added a new law that is going to make it harder for ordinary citizens to import non-native wild animals to Germany and to make it harder for invasive species that are already here (raccoons) to spread. In case of the raccoon for example they argued that many frogs are already rare here in Germany and since raccoons eat frogs, they must be stopped.
