I don't know about other cultures but in Indian culture the whole kitchen work is considered to belong to woman & if a woman prepares the food with love,dedication & awreness  & takes care of likes & dislikes of the members of the family ,food becomes  a celebraity,a blessing & it converts a house into a home.

It creates harmony between the couple.

& if the woman takes prepration of food as a burden ,it destroys the whole beauty of the family & relation.

according to traditional culture man is responsible for earning & woman is responsible for kitchen & household jobs.

It is considered that when a woman prepares food ,her viberations eneter the food & if they are of love , dedication & joyfulness ,it creates a living bond between the man & woman & it completes the whole circle of life.

We don't provide the desrving importance to our food.The food is very important part of our life rather it is our life,what we are going to eat is going to become the 'we'.

It's not just that how we prepare it alone,how we eat is equally important.If food is not respected ,loved & considered as a blessing of God it breaks us from the whole of existence & godlyness.

I don'tknow about others but it's very true for me.
