The Happening

The Happening

When people watch a scary movie about the end of the world, they usually think they’d be like the characters in the movie who somehow survived and have to save the world. But, really, odds are you wouldn’t make it that far and even if you did, you might not have any idea what’s actually going on. It would just be chaos.

The Happening is a new movie from M. Night Shyamalan who also made The Sixth Sense and Signs. The commercials are especially scary because they don’t really give any information about what will happen in the film. Mason has seen it and even he doesn’t even know what happens!

But Mason talked to her and she said she was going to quit. But Marni and Beren have caught her doing strange things and wonder if she is still using drugs. Jason agreed to talk to her about it, but it looks like he won’t have to. As he runs by, she flags him down and as they talk, the truth comes out.

The '90s Are Back

The '90s Are Back

Is there still a pair of baggy jeans in your closet? If so, you must be excited that Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins and The Verve all have new albums out. Why? Because each of those bands achieved fame in the ‘90s, back when the more material went into your pants and the less you washed them, the cooler you were.

But now that those pants and flannels are long gone, what does music from ‘90s artists mean? Listen to Devan and Jason wonder what it means for our decade that so many of the top artists right now first became popular more than 10 years ago.

Ga$

Ga$

It’s all over the news in the US. But Americans don’t need the news to tell them that gas is more expensive than it ever has been. They can see it at every fuel station.

But what Americans haven’t seen yet is fewer cars on the road. It will take time for people to adjust to the high price of gas (although fuel in Europe is still more expensive than it is in the US) and for cities to provide more public transportation. At the moment, people are feeling the increased costs, and everyone’s talking about it.
