Officially, my government is supposed to “provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and ensure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”
Seriously, it literally says that. Their lawyers ignore it.
Of course, since the first day they’ve pretty much focused on making themselves rich. They do get rich, very rich.
My people want those same things. Except for the ones who want power, unfortunately, they are the ones who join politics.
My government is MY government, it has no authority outside of my nation. It has those three duties that were written down. Everything else is lawyers usurping the law for power.
