Hi, How are you?

I am always confused with "other", "the others",  and "another". Could you kindly help me to clairfy these words? Thanks.

Hi! Thanks for your interesting question.

"Other" is an adjective meaning "different from the rest," as in, "I have some friends in my neighborhood and other friends at school."

"The others" is a noun, meaning different people or things, as in, "I don't want these books. I want the others."

And "another" is an adjective meaning "one more," as in, "I think I'll have another slice of pizza."
