I don't agree, In my opinion the main difference is that dead people have no functioning organs. For example, their hearts don't beat.

 we can not see the soul .. it's like the mind .. we believe we have soul and mind although we don't see or touch them..

 in the world there are so many soul things  .. we can know them from their affect and influence ..

it's exactly the same in case of presence of the god .. i believe in god cuz i can feel his affect ..

Like oonah, I don't believe there is such a thing as a soul. Not at least in terms of something that is separate from the body and exists after the body is dead.

Organ failure can occur when the brain gets no oxygen or because you get hit by a truck or you have a heart attack or a shark eats you.

If you mean a brain, yes I have a brain. I don't believe there is a soul, I think that is fiction.

I think praying is a form of meditating, you can get in a trance if you practice it.
