THE POOR MAN AND THE RICH MAN

A poor man went to the house of a rich man and asked for a piece of bread. The rich man said,"We have no bread in the house."

- "Please give me a little of last night'd food"

- "There is nothing left.We ate it all."

- "At least give me some water to drink."

- "The water is finished"

- "Will you give me a penny to buy bread?"

- "I haven't any money now."

At last the poor man said,"Well,as you have nothing in the house,you can come with me and we will beg together."

A Passenger boat was moving slowly in a thick fog.

On deck an old lady,rather frihtened,asked a sailor:

"How far are we from land?"

" Jalf a mile,"he Answered."

"Where?" said the old lady.

"Straight down."

The doctor was trying to encorage a gloomy patient.

"You are in no real danger,"He said.

"Yes," the patient said,"but you didn't have the same doctor."

THE EXPERIMENT

An old man had a donkey with a voracious appetite.He wondered the animal's food everyday,it would be posible to condition it to get along with out any food at all.

The experiment was continued for several weeks,but a few days after all food had been stoped,the donkey toppled over and died. To the chargrin of the old man ,who sadly murmured,"what a pity tat he should have died just when he was gettig accustomed to hunger!"
