Brannden has a secret. This is The Jerry Springer Show.
The America you see in the media is chock full of happy-go-lucky people sipping Starbucks lattes and enjoying life. But there is a less pleasant side to American life, and you can catch a glimpse of it on The Jerry Springer Show.

Didi |
Dave: Have you ever watched The Jerry Springer Show?
Didi: Not a whole one. Probably, parts of one.
Dave: Yeah. I can only watch parts of them, as well. It gets kind of, I don’t know, it gets under my skin in a way. It, kind of, shows the armpit of society, right?
Didi: Well, sure, yeah. Yeah, It’s not…limited entertainment.
Dave: Apparently, he’s becoming really popular in parts of Europe.
Didi: Mm hm. Really?
Dave: And he says that, you know, the reason his show is so successful is because he shows the underbelly of American life that Hollywood movies don’t show.
Didi: Oh, well.
Dave: There are people who live these, kind of, far out lives.
Didi: Is he trying to help them, or is he just trying to make money off of them?
Dave: Well, and that’s a separate question. Of course he’s trying to make money off of them. I don’t think he’s trying to help anybody.
Didi: Right.
